Work to Feed the Hungry 2025 Drive

Brethen, your assistance is requested to assist in harvesting the potatoes that were planted in April of this year. Thank you to those that helped to cut up the seed potatoes for them to be planted. We need all the help we can get to get these potatoes from the ground into the barn for storage and distribution. This means, while a lot of the help needed is to pick potatoes, there are several other opportunities for those unable to pick them up. Examples include cleaning potatoes to go into sacks for distribution to smaller groups, cleaning, preparing and cooking the damaged potatoes for French fries and many other options.

The Date of Saturday, October 18th , 2025 9AM – Noon has been selected as our primary date, with a rain date of Saturday, November 8th 9AM – Noon.

Thanks to the help of the district so far, over 1,000 lbs. of seed potatoes were cut to be planted and over 8 pickup loads of clothing and donations were collected! If you have any more clothing donations, we can accept them at the harvest date. We estimated over 3,000 lbs. should be in the field for us to pickup. So come on out, bring the family, some gloves, old shoes/boots and your lawn chair (to enjoy your French fries of course), to help pick for the needy!
